POKEMON - Catastrophy (just something i made up with a friend)

I thought of a pokemon game a while back where there is a legendary pokemon called Zekiru(not a good name seeing it now.... well i have a sprite of him in both forms) who changes forms when he gets at low HP. basically hes at like a temple in the middle of the ocean.

Well Zekiru is sleeping at the temple. An evil team of baddies learns of his existence and goes to the tepmle to capture him, but they end up waking him up.... There are pillars all around the top of the temple (there he sleeps) in a circular fashion. When he is awoken, they all start to glow, and pull all the regions TO THE TEMPLE!

This includes the pokemon mystery dungeon region and all the pokemon ranger regions.

After that you get to travel the regions, which are now combined into one. I think it is pretty clear this game would be difficult, since you would have to beat every gym leader ever in a pokemon game and all of the elite four, elite four champions, and possibly every champions rivals (the player character from other games, and the champion from other games).

Since all regions would be combined into one, you would be able to catch every pokemon some how.

Now on to the detailed stuff i have so far. I cant remember a lot of it, like the names of the bad guys.... but i willl try =/.

Basically this region has its own professer, and the other professers have come to that region to meet up to celebrate their grand pokemon trainers who have completed their regional pokedex's and givin them so much information. They are all together to hold a competition to decide which trainers get to try and complete the Dex for this region.

The competition is held in the players town. The player has two friends. Pretty much every kid in the players town enters the contest. Basically you each get a note (they all say the same thing) And you have to run around the village finding and following hints. The player is the first to find every hint, and you have to get a ladder to get on the roof of a house, where 3 pokeballs are. The player gets first pick and the players friends/rivals will grab the other two.

After only a very short bit the game gets interesting. You are in the lab that is in your hometown, and the baddies blow a hole in the wall and steal all the pokemon from inside the lab. The professers have a plane (which is good because the bad guys have a plane too) and they board it along with you and your friends to chase them. You end up at the island where Zekiru is....

It turns out the bad guys stole the pokemon so they had protection in case zekiru got out. Well they wake him up, he makes the continents come together, yadda yadda. Ive already told this part, right?

Well now i think the game is pretty obvious.... OR IS IT!?!?

Remember how i said the ranger and mystery dungeon regions came together too? Well you then take a quiz to choose a pokemon from mystery dungeon like the mystery dungeon games go, and you choose a boy or girl ranger. Your normal character is back at the town, and right when you head out for the next town there are random pokemon running in the direction of you. But they arent battling you....

A Rayquaza is chasing the wild pokemon! It stops in front of you and just as you are about to try and fight it (with one weak pokemon) A POKEMON RANGER TO THE RESCUE! The ranger comes out of the woods, and runs to your aid. And a random little pokemon comes from the other side of the woods to your aid as well.

I dont know if anyone would really want to hear how this kind of battle would work (if you do let me know) but you end up beating rayquaza and your adventure begins.

well of course you would be able to catch zekiru, but he is like madly powerful. i think i had a drawing of him and a sheet with a moveset somewhere.... meh XD.

And yes i want to combine the main games with ranger, AS WELL AS pokemon mystery dungeon =3. there would be certain things only certain characters could do. Also you can split up (would have to sometimes).

sounds like a huge main story... also, will the regions ever go back to theit original location so you have to use Brineys boat?

well in the end of it once you successfully capture zekiru (its kind of like the reshiram/zekrom thing, he wont leave till u capture him =P) Zekiru will use his powers to move the continents to their normal positions. After that i guess the player characters would all be givin special gold passes or something to be able to go to all the regions by boat/plane or something =3.

but yes, it would be a very, very, very, very long and complex game. Which seems like a good thing since every pokemon game is basically the same, and they are all pretty easy to beat. Bad guys, rival, gym leaders, E-4, complete the pokedex, complete the national dex.

So if anyone knows any way to contact nintendo plz tell me, maybe they will accept this idea and make a game for it =P.

well you said you didn't want it to be a repeat of the other games so wouldn't hhaving to beat all the gym leaders all the elite four and all the champions gain be the same thing but longer? And the combining thing is a bad idea mystery dungeon series and pokemon rangers are 2 completely different things. it would cause nintendo to make less money or make the game outrageslt priced. why bad another ranger or pokemon game when you already have one with both in it? pokemon ranger and pokemon mystery dungeon are completely different from raising pokemon. if you introduce mystery dungeon that would mean pokemon would be able to talk which would make things more complicated. catching and friending are 2 totally differently things. And with pokemon you have to catch and raise pokemon, while being a ranger you can just befriend them on the spot so the ranger could just go there and end befrend the pokemon without all the watse. and how would mystery dungeon work into this they would have cave grass and then dungeons? i Have ALOT more problems with this and i will continue to post if you want me too.

They would tie into each other fine and the game mechanics of battling and catching pokemon would be totally different.

Now i said i didnt feel like explaining the battle with rayquaza but i guess i will have to.

First thing i would like to point out, only the mystery dungeon pokemon on your team can talk to other pokemon, and he/she can not talk to humans.

Well the rayquaza battle would work like this. He would need to be calmed down, by weakening and beating him. The ranger would probably be your main means of weakening him, but your weakest attack. the mystery dungeon pokemon can use items on it and attack it. the trainer can attack it, but he/she can use DIFFERENT pokemon. he/she can not use items on it, how ever. by switching between these methods of attacking you could defeat the rayquaza, which would then run away.

You can only catch pokemon when the pokemon trainer is alone.

You can only explore dungeons when the mystery dungeon pokemon is alone.

You can only uuh.... well do what a ranger does, rescuing pokemon and stuff, when the ranger is alone.

As i have said, they would split up a lot.

Of course each of the characters have different objectives, though they all wish to stop zekiru as well.

Beating the gym leaders and E-4 wouldnt be the only goal, and your other characters wouldnt be allowed to help the pokemon trainer.

The ranger can calm pokemon down with the other two characters, but will only be allowed to get them to help him/her if the ranger is alone. basically, alone they would do the things they normally do in their own games, while still trying to stop the baddies and get the regions back to normal.

Together, they can do things they normally couldnt.

Why exactly do you have to battle Rayquaza? I thought he lives in the Ozone Layer... Or at Skypillar tower...

cuz the bad guys pissed him off.... XD what other explanation did you expect? It is relatively easy to beat him since he is enraged and retarded at the moment, and there are 3 characters with different special abilities =3

so... there were bad guys in the ozone layer... Rayquaza didnt kill them... kinda weird... since he almost did kill deoxys...

these bad guys are BADASS!

it just doesnt make no sense... if it were an hydreigon instead of mr. Quaza... that makes a lot more sense

das too bad. it is "mr quaza" so the boss would be something no rookie pokemon trainer with a single weak pokemon could EVER beat alone. well its a very weakened and enraged rayquaza too. its kinda like.... a mini boss. you would fight "mr quaza" again later but he would be waaayyyy tougher. =3

why not the last main series game? so no ranger and dungeon, but visiting all countries and be the ultimate champion with one evil group of all evil groups fused? doesnt that sound sort of cool?

Sky, you would probably have to fight remnants of other groups, but these guys are way more badass than any of the other groups.

And it would be too much like normal games still if the mystery dungeon and ranger characters werent there.

I think its pretty impressive you came up with a new story. still, Id just make it main game, so not ranger and dungeon, but if you want it your way, thats ok ofcourse after all irs your game. im just making suggestions

I think it needs some work

It's just every pokemon fans fantasy to have a game where you can "catch all the pokemon" and whatnot instead of having to buy a bunch of games which i do understand and everything but that really makes them lose A LOT of profit in the running. A game with the mystery dungeon rangers and trainers is just to much. And in reality it would just cost soooo much money and everything would start to contradict with everything :p. And since you said they would have to face every problem that they have had in previous pokemon games i.e. get all the badges beat the e4 find out how i became a pokemon beat a bunch of side quests. And you combined all the regions so they would have to deal with all that like 10fold so they would have to collect 40 badges beat 20 e4 5 champoins which is a REAL drag since your pokemon would probably already be to high leveled to enjoy the game at a certain point. there be like 50+ dungeons to explore and a whole bunch of story line to go with them. And i always hated the ranger quest they always went to slow for me *gotta travel half way across the region to capture a vaporeon for the murphy cup* which took just took to long for me and was a real drag. And imagine if someone didn't like the mystery dungeon series they would just be pissed off that they had to do it to get back to the pokemon battling
