Introduction
My name is Sverre Kaito. My VRMMO handle is Guren. It has been a almost 6 years since Sword Art Online was destroyed, and the egg given to Kirigaya Kazuto has branched off to create thousands of VRMMOs of all different kinds of genres. The events of Alfheim Online have already occurred at this point in time, and Gun Gale Online’s issues of a return of the Laughing Coffin guild has been dealt with. The confusion of Underworld has gone and passed as well. And yet, I still play them.
Sword Art Online. That game was a living nightmare. I still lose sleep over it. Being a solo player had it’s risks and it’s rewards. There were plenty of times I almost died, but I was able to pull through. My focuses were attack, defense, and speed, to which I maxed leveled them. My weapon of choice was a claymore which I could wield with one hand and measure to 7 feet and 6 inches long, a monster of a sword. In my other hand, I carried a tower shield at 6 feet in length, 3 feet in width and 6 inches in thickness. It helps when I stand at 6 feet and 9 inches tall. My armor itself would weigh in at 300 pounds of black with gold trim platemail. It saved my life so many times, I am genuinely grateful for it. Luckily, like Kazuto, my SAO info was transferred to ALO, though I joined the game as a Salamander. Even in ALO, I tended to work alone, out of habit of SAO, but as time went on, I met a friend of mine whose handle is Serain. He was lucky to not have to play that Death Game. He was a Salamander as well, though specialized more as a pure attack and defense fighter, similar to me but without the speed as much. He carries a longsword measuring in at 5 feet, and carries a standard shield at 4 feet in height, 2 feet in width and having a 3 inch thickness. His armor is half the weight of mine so that he can still have some mobility. His platemail is purple with black trim. We helped in Kirito’s assault on the World Tree, when all the races banded together to attack and add support.
The story I plan to tell you is one of a game Serain and I transferred into after Alfheim. This story is of a game known as Armored Defiance Online, or ADO. It is another sword, shield, and armor based game, set in a medieval time period. Both Serain and I have still kept our equipment and our stats with this switch. In ADO, we learned very quickly that it was another Death Game. This tale is about friendship, hardship, struggle and so much more. This is what happened in Armored Defiance Online.
