Sceptile, Swampert and Diancie Confirmed Mega Evolutions - Who Else?

I apologise for my lack of punctuality as of late, but I am currently studying for my final school exams (Which start tomorrow! D:)

Moving on, we recently received confirmation on three new mega evolutions.

The first two were pretty predictable, being Sceptile and Swampert. This was pretty much certain to happen anyway, since Blaziken got his earlier in X/Y. However we see that the two get some fairly nifty new abilities. Mega Swampert gets Swift Swim, which kinda makes sense, and is a really neat ability to have. But weirdly, Mega Sceptile gets Lightningrod... Kay... And he also gets a new Typing which is Grass/Dragon. With this being the case, I'm not sure how useful Lightningrod will be, as Mega Sceptile is already 4x resistant to Electric anyways; However I can see it being useful for preventing Thunder Wave, and it would be great to stop a Choiced Volt Switch on things like Jolteon.

The other Pokemon to get a new Mega Evolution is Diancie, and honestly... I've only ever seen this Pokemon once, and all I know is that it has a almost unique Fairy/Rock Typing , so I'm afraid I can't say much about it. But, I here it's a cool Event Pokemon and I'm sure it will have an awesome Mega Evolution!

But now this brings back the old question... Who else will get a new Mega Evolution? I'm going to drop a few possibilities down below, and explain a few of 'em...

1. Breloom
It just makes sense for Breloom to have a Mega Evolution. He doesn't have outstanding Stats outside of his super Attack Stat, so there is plenty of room for improvement. If he was to keep an ability, I think it should be either Technician or Poison Heal (I'm swayed more towards Technician), or if he got a new one, I'd say something simple like Steadfast or Inner Focus, Or go down Heracross's path and how it Skill Link xD (Skill Link STAB Bullet Seed would be pretty cool I guess...)

2. Salamence
Oh Hai Sky... This is probably the most talked about Pokemon on this list, so I won't talk about it too much. It was one of the most iconic Pokemon from R/S, and it was very popular (Hell, it still is). Let it keep Moxie though, it abuses the hell out of the ability...

3. Gallade
I know Gallade isn't Gen III, but hear me out. Ralts is available in R/S, Gardevoir got a Mega Evolution, so why not Gallade? That's pretty much all I'm going on here. I think Justified does Gallade justice already, but a new ability could be better... Maybe Technician? No. How about Guts? I'm not sure what they could do with it, but either way, I want Mega Gallade...

4. Ludicolo and Shiftry
I heard somewhere ages ago that Pokemon that evolved via Evolution Stones will never receive a Mega Evolution... Disregarding that, I would LOVE a Mega Ludicolo (Shiftry too I guess). I pretty much use Ludicolo on ALL I my R/S/E runs, even on my latest Monotype Run. I put Shiftry next to Ludicolo as in the originals, they were counterparts to each over, being exclusive to each game (Or something like that. It might have been one was more common in one game and the other more common in the other, but my brain is a waffle so I can't remember back to when I was 6...

5. Flygon
It needs one. Flygon needs a Mega Evolution. It would surprise me if he didn't get one, and if be pretty disappointed if it didn't get one. They could simply raise it's, Attack and Speed and I'd be happy... Come On Game Freak!

6. Milotic
Milotic is a somewhat of a counterpart to Gyarados. One focuses on Attack and Speed while the other on Special Attack and Defences. If Gyarados got a Mega Evolution, that also changed it's Typing, I could see Milotic getting a similar Mega Evolution, possibly making it Water/Psychic or even Water/Fairy. Let it keep Marvel Scale though... Please?

7. Sharpedo
IT'S A SHARK!

8. Golem and Machamp
I know these two aren't Gen III either, but seeing as Gengar and Alakazam, two of the original Tade evolutions got a Mega Evolution, it would be unfair to not give these to the other two... I think their current Abilities and Typings are fine, but some general Stat boosts would be very much appreciated.

9. Relicanth
I like Relicanth. He's cool. He has a good Offensive Typing, amazing attacking Moves like Head Smash, Waterfall and Earthquake, plus some neat Abilities in Rock Head and Sturdy... It's just his Stats that hurt... Fix 'Em please...

10. Walreign
The other day, I caught a Shiny Spheal... IT'S PINK AND FAT!! <3

Walreign was part of my first ever team (My first game that I played properly was Ruby). And he has Ok Stats... But they're just, ok... I'd really like to see it get some HP and Defence boosts and maybe a new Ability like Snow Warning, Drizzle or Dry Skin. I just love this guy though, so this is a little biased...

If you have any more suggestions, they'd be cool to list below...

I understand you are excited for the new Megas, but posting 3x is a bit too much right xD

Anyways, to critique your list:

Breloom - I see it happening, it looks quite frail now, so a megamushroom makes sense.

Salamence - Idk, I think not. And I don't want my Ignis to change ;~;

Gallade - Yes, please! I doubt it though. It already has the good looks and quite decent stats.

Ludicolo / Shiftry - It makes sense, but to give a Mega to the starters and a Mega to wild pokes on the 3rd route you'll cross..?

Flygon - Yep. Bug / Dragon, Tinted Lens, that's all.

Milotic - Another good idea, I vote Water / Fairy with Multiscale.

Sharpedo - If it gets a tail, I'm alright with it!

Golem / Machamp - The argumentation is valid, but do you really see an 8-arm Machamp..? Golem, well, just needs Shell Smash, or change Rock Smash mechanics, so that'll work the same~

Relicanth - Heads or Tails to me, and I think GF thinks the same. It is just a great pokemon now, but it could be like an ancient seamonster... Make it darkblue pls!

Walrein - Sorry, but if this thing gets any cooler it'd be just a chunk of ice xD

My predictions:

Huntail - I mean, Leviathan poke? (Don't come knocking with Gyarados now pls)

Regi trio - And Regigigas. Actual Mountains, Icebergs and Tanks on the field!!! And a freakin' GIANT!!! (Yea it prolly won't happen )

Solrock and Lunatone - Because the Mossdeep gym isn't hard enough yet ;P

Mightyena - Because it's great, cool design and all, but lbh, it sucks.

Mega Amphy, Mega Sceptile... First, GF nerfs the Dragon type hard by adding faries, than THEY MAKE ALL OF THE COOL POKEMON OF THE NERFED TYPE!!!!!

Technician mega Breloom would be uber, and Poison Heal means it can't hold Toxic Orb (due to mega stone). Skill link would be a mega heracross copy

You encounter Ralts on the same route, Sky's argument is invalid.
Aside from that, Mega Shifty would end up as a tree, and Mega Ludi would complete his full transformation into a pinapple

I think Machamp might have a parental bond equivilant ability, to simulate multiple punches from multiple arms. Golem would be more... Rocky. I dunno.

I think that we should also consider that the catch lists for certain routes might not be the same (Although they probably will...) and most mega stones will probably be post-game so...

Give Golem Solid Rock... Or something... I dunno...

Maybe give Machamp Mach Punch... Seeing as it has 'Mach' in it's name... And it's Pokedex entry says it punches really fast...
