My story
Chapter One: Outsiders

"C'mon, Bill, we're going!"Brycen yelled in an excited voice, swinging his arms up, in the air.

THUMP

"Aww, Bill. This is no time to lie down, we've got to go!" Brycen complained, picking up his sai blades.

"Shut up! I'm only here because you bribed me. And you owe me $50. Bill snapped, acid leaking into his voice as he rubbed the back of his head.

Brycen catching the last of what Bill said, rolled his eyes cheerfully and scrambled away, tripping and knocking stuff over.

"Watch it! Just because I'm stuck here doesn't mean I will not pummel you!" Bill muttered catching two jugs on the verge of falling and smashing.

"Let's go," Brycen mumbled, eager to change the subject.

"Unlike you, I don't have leisure time and you could help a bit!" grumbled Bill
Just then a boy slightly taller than Brycen slipped into their shelter. he took two pans and hid behind Bill. Brycen and Bill took no notice of him as they continued arguing. The boy took a pan in each hand and clashed it together, just behind Bill and Brycen's ears.

CLANG

As the pans continued to vibrate, Bill whirled around and hit both Brycen and the boy.

"Ack!!" Brycen cried out and he collapsed in a heap.

"Chill, Billy boy, its only me !" The boy yelped, raising his hands in surrender.

"Christian, the increase of monsters and beasts! Haven't you heard?! Don't sneak up cause I might stab you! You could be a monster!" Bill shouted.

"Christian! Now let's go Bill." Brycen exclaimed, impatiently.

Bill sighed, he took his weapons and stashed everything away and he. Christian and Brycen set off.

"They're heading this way! Shall I prepare the troops?" Rufus asked eagerly.

"No," a short girl ordered curtly," send three scouts and Khalia to escort the outsiders here."

"fine," the boy called Rufus replied with obvious disappointment.

* * *

Meanwhile Bill, Christian and Brycen continued on their way. Three scouts moved swiftly through the undergrowth and watched the boys silently, waiting for the signal.The girl named Khalia watched the boys from above a tree. She unsheathed her scythe and launched herself down, right in front of the boys. Khalia held her weapon steady at her side and announced," the captain wishes to speak to you."

"Who are you?" Brycen demanded, unsheathing his sai blades but froze when he felt a cold blade at his throat.

"Khalia, we don't want to see Anthea!" Christian growled, his eyes flaring.

You are to see the captain or I will slit your throat," Khalia hissed menacingly, leaning closer and hefting her weapon.

"Fine, but we are going right after we talk to Anthea." Christian muttered in defeat, glancing at his fellow companions.

Khalia smiled wickedly and beckoned for them to follow. " Don't bother to run, we got eyes everywhere."

it's very interesting and I'm looking forward to chapter 2. . . however I must ask if I may be critical at assessing chapter 1. I'm a writer myself so it's second nature

Chapter Two: Unite

Then odd group arrived at a dark cave. They entered, there was no noise but their own footsteps as they went into an underground cavern. Waiting there was a girl with fierce and determined eyes.

The girl looked at them coolly,”sit and I will explain why I needed to speak to you.”

The boys sat and waited impatiently. The girl stared at them and began,” my name is Anthea and I am the captain of the Thunder tribe, I am also a part leader of the United Tribes. I am sure you have heard of the sudden increase of monsters and attacks. All the tribes are being attacked, so we have created the United Tribes. If you-”

“We haven’t been attacked yet. No ugly monster whatsoever has stopped us,” Bill interrupted, clearly confused by the new information.

Anthea’s brow furrowed as she took the information in. She began again,” as I was saying, if you are to survive, you must join or you will be an easy target.”

“We do not want any death to be our fault,” a male voice boomed.

A tall boy stepped out of the shadows, holding out his hand, palm facing upwards. The boy studied the newcomers and he closed his outstretched hand into a fist. His entire hand became engulfed with fire, appearing out of thin air. The fire lit up the entire cavern and the newcomers saw that the cavern was filled with people.

“ If you join us, we can help you. You don’t have to fight alone, we can help. We have healers, archers, element users and many others,” Anthea continued.

“I don’t think-” Christian started, but was cut off by Brycen.

“I’ll join, you sound as true as your word. Besides, better safe than sorry right,guys?” Brycen decided.

Bill and Christian stared at each other and then nodded in agreement.

End of Chapter two.

(Ugh! My hand hurts so much, you guys should try typing this all on iPhone!!! Oh and this just a notice: I'm trying to rush this story a bit cuz all the people at my school in my class, the people who has Fb, are makin me write this. I would appreciate it if someone helped me a bit. Still haven't finished my three other stories. (( one I abandoned when I was 7 years old))).

Chapter 3

“Settled then, let me introduce you to the commanders of each tribe, Darren as you can see is a fire user,” Anthea explained, nodding at every person in return,” Khalia is my second in command, Anthony is an earth tribe warrior, Rachel is an ice tribe healer, Nicholas is a rogue very much like yourselves and this is Marcus, he is the scout leader.”

“Where’s the water tribe?” Brycen asked, scanning the faces, looking for his younger brother, Dylan.

A soft murmuring broke out among the people in the cavern.

“Water tribe? They were destroyed by Dourkai and his giants four days ago.” Anthea replied, steadily.

Brycen stared at her and uttered,” Dylan’s dead...” Brycen’s eyes were completely blank as he sank to his knees.

A girl with a kind face stared with wide eyes, as she registered the captain’s words.”Howard...Howard...” She whispered as she fell to the ground. She wailed a mournful cry that filled the entire cavern.

“The water tribe is not dead,” a deep voice rumbled from just outside the cavern, drowning out the girl’s wail.

Anthea whirled around and called,” how? Did they escape?”

The commanders and everyone else strode out of the cavern. Outside was a giant who inclined his head at the tribes approach.

Seeing the giant, Bill grabbed his spear shaft strapped to his back. But the giant made no move. Khalia death glared at Bill and gestured for his to put away away his weapon. Bill did so after a moment of hesitation but watched the giant through wary eyes.

“The water tribe escaped through an underground tunnel, hidden below sea level, Amelia died in the escape, slaughtered by Doukai himself. There was no major damage the water tribe had except for a few cuts and bruises.” The giant continued.

Anthea closed her eyes and asked,” what’s Ethan planning?”

“Wiping out the entire tribes and setting all the monsters fre! He is bringing chaos back!” The giant answered.

“How many units does he have right now?” Rachel interjected, her face solemn and serious.

“At most that we can stop from killing each other is one hundred seventy four giants, forty nine ogres, four banshees, nineteen elf slaves, eighty seven bwbachods and a handful of wild beasts,” the giant replied.

“Drat! We have to double the training and wipeout the monster army now or else they are going to keep increasing!” Nicholas breathed.

“Would someone tell me what the heck is going on?” Brycen burst out.

Bill smacked Brycen just as Rachel answered,” we are sentenced to death...”

End of Chapter 3.

Have to say, nice story. Love the Brycen-Bill=Soft guy-hard guy, where bill resolves all Brycens mistakes.

Chapter 4

As it was, the giant was an ally named Erik and happened to be an excellent singer and efficient strategist. After the tribes got the battle repot of the false destruction of the water tribe, the commanders of every tribe and Bill had an important battle meeting. Erik had set off to continue spying on his own kind. Everyone else set off to train for the battle.

“Yo, rogues!” Nicholas called to Brycen and Christian.

“Yeah!” Brycen answered, attempting to greet Nicholas with the same cool tone.

“Fight me! If you dare...” Nicholas trailed of grinning wickedly.

Brycen eager to prove himself, rose up to the challenge and Nicholas led him to a rough training area, where a couple people were already watching them come.

“Good luck, You are going to be POO!”A short boy with glasses chirped, waving his arms.

“Shut up, Eugene!” A few people growled.

“Don’t mind Eugene, he’s a grumpy Saskwatch. I’m Vanessa,” A girl whom Brycen recognized as the girl who had also keeled over when the news of the water tribe had been announced.

“Daniel!” Nicholas called out.

“Yeah, I know. Rules are no maiming, just disarm your opponent. No magic or user types allowed. Please put on your armour,” A muscular boy announced gesturing toward a large trunk and table stacked with used armour and weapons.

Nicholas and Brycen put on their armour with a bit of help from Daniel, Christian and Vanessa. They checked themselves over one last time and went to their assigned positions. They faced each other, staring levelly at each other. Daniel walked to a stone, picked it up and dropped it just as he yelled,” en garde!”

Nicholas lunged forward, feinting to the left and slashing with a giant axe to the left. Brycen widened his eyes at Nicholas’ speed, dropped to a crouch and sprung to the left and using his sai blades to evade Nicholas’ attack. Nicholas, seeing Brycen’s line of pattern, bolted to the left and pumped himself, moving left and right. Nicholas ducked as Brycen’s sai blades soared over his head and shield bashed his opponent’s head.He neatly dodged Brycen’s flailing arms and knocked both of Brycen’s sai blades to the ground.

“You have an okay offense and a terrible defense. but we can help you fix that.” Nicholas commented as he bowed to the audience.

“The round goes to Nicholas! Again,” Daniel announced boredly. “37 wins in a row.”

“Nice try, young one,” A tall boy commented,” but Nick always wins, he’s the champ. I’m Jeremy.”

Brycen got up taking off his armour and inspecting himself.”Ugh! That hurt!”

“Sorry, well you better get used to it. When you’re fighting monsters, they ain’t going to go without a fight.” Nicholas apologized turning back to Brycen.

“You sucked! I could have beaten, you one hand tied behind my back,” A boy sneered.

“Sorry about that, that’s Tyler and his lackeys, Dakota’s the girl and Rufus the tech.” Nicholas explained, nodding at each individual.

“Let me show you around poo!” Eugene chirped, bouncing on the spot.

“Just follow me,” Vanessa advised, invitingly.

Nicholas, Christian, Jeremy, Daniel and Vanessa showed Brycen around.

Chapter 5

Meanwhile, the meeting had already finished. The commanders had organized a rescue team to help the water tribe. All the rest of the tribes and rogues were in waiting of who would be chosen to go and rescue the water tribe.

Anthea stepped forward and called the names of those in the rescue team,”Khalia and Kathy.”

Rachel stepped forward and called out,” I will go. One efficient healer like myself will do.”

In all, the rescue team was made up of Khalia, Kathy( preferably known as Cat), Rachel, Anthony, Darren, Nicholas and Brycen. All introduced themselves formally and got ready. When they were all ready, they set off through a dark forest.

“Hey,Nick! What’s the plan? Do we just bust in there or what?” Brycen asked loudly.

“Shut up, you idiot! Do you want our enemies to hear us,” Khalia snapped.

“When we get close, I will explain. Just keep up, junior.” Rachel muttered.

“Wha-what did you call me?!” Brycen burst out, bristling and looking fairly angry.

“Hey junior. You want to get smashed/” Anthony asked, hearing no response, he continued,” keep your mouth shut.”

After that, the entire trip was quiet. The team neared the cave and stopped just a few metres before it.

“Okay, now Cat, Anthony, scout ahead. Just around the perimeter.Darren and Brycen, watch mine, Nick and Khalia’s backs. Avoid making any sound Go!” rachel whispered, her eyes scanning the undergrowth and the area.

“Hey uh...Darren, you go left, I got right,” Brycen commanded.

Darren gave no response but simply leaped away.

Nick, Khalia and Rachel ran swiftly and silently to the entrance and disappeared inside.

ROAR

A dragon jumped down from a large tree. Its fierce eyes bore in the back of Brycen’s head, it roared again and stalked towards Brycen.

ROAR

“Hello, big guy,” Brycen greeted the dragon with no fear. he raised his hands slowly and reached out towards the dragon. The dragon stiffened and crouched down.

A pillar of fire erupted at Brycen’s feet and blazed ferociously.

“what the heck are you doing?” Anthony hollered, jumping in front of Brycen and raising his cleaver.

“No, wait! I-I-It could help us defeat the monster army,” Brycen protested weakly.

Cat and Darren leaped down. darren holding his sword, willed fire from thin air. The fire enveloped his entire body and sword. Cat got into a defensive stance, her scythe at her side.

“What? No way!” Anthony growled

“Have a heart, he needs me,” Brycen pleaded, giving Anthony the puppy dog eyes.

“Suite yourself. Khalia’s going to freak but better you than us.” Anthony replied with a vacant expression.

ROAR

Brycen ran to the dragon and touched its muzzle. “its okay, buddy,” he whispered coaxing and calming the dragon.

Chapter 6

By then, Khalia, Rachel and Nicholas came out with the water tribe.

“Brother? Are you a traitor? befriending that beast?” A boy looking similar to Brycen asked.

“Brycen, what did you do?” Khalia snarled.

“The dragon’s on our side. We can train him and he can help us fight.” Brycen explained fiercely.

ROAR

“Absolutely not! he’ll destroy us, our entire existence will be wiped out,” Khalia retorted.

“He’s calling me. This-this feels like it part of my destiny,” Brycen argued.

“Fine! But if he kills one of our own, he dies.” Khalia spat.

Rachel introduced the water tribe to the rescue team, though she did not say it without disdain when she said Brycen’s name.

After the brief introduction, the team set off back to headquarters. When all was explained to the commanders and everyone else, Brycen was considered a traitor to the tribes. Even Bill strayed from Brycen.

“Nick, why isn't anyone talking to me?” Brycen asked, running up to Nicholas.

“You got a dragon. You have to prove your loyalty. Befriending a wild dragon, what were you thinking? Are you insane?” Nicholas growled flatly.

“You said you would train me!” Brycen snarled, feeling tremendously betrayed.” What are you saying now? Are you keeping your word?”

“Very well then. But be warned, your behaviour to others is not without consequences.” Nicholas replied coolly.

Nicholas and Brycen ran to the battle arena, put on armour and got ready.

“En garde.” Nicholas spat.

Brycen yelled a battle cry and lunged forward, swinging his sai blades, Nicholas feeling the adrenaline pumping through his body, leaped forward to engage in combat. They clashed their weapons together, but Nicholas outmatched by power, staggered back. Brycen, with sheer defiance and a determined expression continued to push Nick. Brycen whirled like a hurricane and thrust his weapons with such certainty that Nick was forced to dodge and block continuously. Brycen, finally seeing Nick’s defences fall, lunged, crossing his weapons in a X pattern, shoved his blades with Nick’s axe. Nick smiled to himself as he saw Brycen fall into his trap. Nicholas raised his arm holding the axe and bashed his opponent’s midsection. Brycen gasped as he fell and mustering up all his energy, attempted to counter but failed due to the lack of energy. Nicholas roundhouse kicked Brycen’s weapons away, then he forced his axe to hover and level to his opponent’s neck like an executioner blade.

“I win,” Nicholas announced, with a hint of a small smile forming on his face.

“You got that right! I'm beat!” Brycen muttered in reply.

“Bravo! Encore!” A beautiful girl, whom neither boys had met, chanted.”Je m’appelle Trinity, of the Earth tribe.”

“He almost got you there. You’re out of practice, dude.” A boy with spiky hair observed but was clearly impressed by Brycen’s performance.” I'm Gregory, but most people call me Greg or Gregsley.”

“Wow, thanks.” Brycen replied staring in awe at Trinity.

“Are you French?” Nicholas asked stupidly, with a stupid smile on his face and in equal awe at Trinity.

“No, just practising. but please don’t concern yourselves with me.” Trinity said, and she was gone a split second later.

A cold blade pressed into the neck’s of both Nicholas and Brycen. “Because I can kill you in half a second.” Trinity finished mildly in a deadly and velvet tone as she removed her knives from their necks.

Brycen and Nick both collapsed, thoroughly bewildered, stared dumbfounded.

“Greg chuckled and smirked,” she did that to practically everyone here now. Oh and just to say, Brycen, I agree. Your dragon could help us, you just have to train him right. I’ll vouch for you. make sure you don’t die, the commanders trust me and my judgement so...yeah.”

Chapter 7

By then, a few people heard what Greg was saying and the gossip reached the commanders and other rogues.

“We cannot keep a dragon! It will attract attention and monsters!” Rachel hissed in disdain.

“It will kill us!” Marcus howled.

“Silence!” Anthea ordered,”this dragon is still young, it has a chance. but to find it alone is highly unusual.”

“True, it just needs the correct training! If it is mistreated, however, it may bolt.” Anthony nodded, his brow furrowing with uncertainty.

“Impossible! It will destroy us all!” Khalia cried out.

”What about the boy? Brycen! Befriending a dragon!” Dakota growled.

“He may as well kill us! No doubt!” Rufus snarled strongly.

“Silence! We shall give Brycen and the dragon a chance.” Anthea commanded.

“ If they bond enough, the dragon may not kill us,” Darren spoke out at last.

“Settled then,” Anthea announced,” Anthony, inform them.”

“That’s great!” Brycen cheered,”C’mon! The big is probably missing me right now!’

“Remember, you must bond,” Anthony called over his shoulder as he left.

Brycen, Greg, Nick and Trinity pelted to a large battle area with fourteen tall pillars, ramps, a thick wire strung through every pillar and racks of armour and weapons.

A large dragon stood, lashing its tail in a cage. It stared at the newcomers through fierce, dark eyes. A growl rumbled through its chest as it spotted the weapons the newcomers carried. Brycen stopped in front of the caged dragon and walked slowly and steadily towards the dragon.”It’s okay, buddy. I’m here.” The dragon lifted its head and stared with its intense eyes straight at Brycen, focusing and zeroing only on Brycen. “You remember me, right?” Brycen called quietly. The dragon blew a puff of steam from its nostrils but otherwise, remained still. Brycen pick-locked the cage lock and unlocked the cage. Brycen, with the help of Nick and Greg, opened the cage and out, stepped the large dragon.Brycen waved his hand and slowly touched the tough, reptilian scales and hide of the dragon.

“I think I’ll call you Jetfire, but Jet for short in memory of your speed and to remind other that you can breathe fire.” Brycen announced.

The dragon snorted in response but stepped forward.

Brycen beckoned to the dragon and walked around the grounds of the battle area. The dragon cocked his head to the side and followed Brycen slowly but warily.

“He’s following you!” Greg and Nick yelled out in unison.

“Awesome!” Brycen called back, continuing his walk. He stretched his hands both going in different direction as if showing the dragon the landscape.

The dragon followed Brycen’s hands and lay down. Jetfire rested his head on his claws. Brycen seeing this, walked slowly towards the dragon and touched Jet’s wings. Jet flinched and stiffened at his touch but slowly relaxed. “Ready?” Brycen whispered coaxingly at the dragon and he dug the heel of his shoe in the ground while his hands gripped Jet’s wings. Jet reared on his hind legs and started to flutter his wings rapidly. Brycen plunged to the ground but determinedly got back up again. “Sorry,” Brycen whispered soothingly, as Jet started to calm back down. Careful this time, Brycen gripped Jet’s neck and started to gently pull himself up. Brycen climbed onto Jet’s back and adjusted himself up right. “Up! Fly up, buddy!” Brycen called, using his hands and gesturing at the sky. Jet nodded his head and got a running start as he leaped into the air. Jet spread his wings and flew freely.

“Whoooooo! This is awesome!” Brycen yelled.

“Bet it is,” Nick called up.

Brycen grabbed Jet’s neck and pressed his left knee into Jet, the dragon turned right, Brycen pressed both knees into Jet and the dragon stopped in midair, still flapping his wings. He released the dragon again and felt himself skimming and slicing the wind.

“I can steer him! Yield! Stop!” Brycen yelled.

Jet continued to circle the grounds and roared a mighty protest.

“Jet Fire!” Brycen hollered, feeling nauseous.

Jet, hearing his name loud and clear with authority in it, and blasted a powerful and hot fireball to the ground. Greg, Trinity and Nick fled from the spot and shouted,” control him!”

“Sorry!” Brycen yelled back “ Jet! Heel! Stop!”

Jet descended to the ground and landed ever so gracefully.

“Not bad, not bad at all.” A voice sneered,’ but weak for an outsider.”

End of Chapter 7.

Chapter 8

From behind a pillar, out slipped Tyler, Dakota and Katara. Their faces suddenly paled,"bwabachods!" They yelled in unison and usheathed their weapons. Trinity summoned an air falcon,"find Vanesa, please," She pleaded and the bird flew off. Greg and Nicholas unsheathed their weapons and attacked. Brycen's eyes widened and he yelled," Fly Jet!" Jet blasted through the air and fired fireballs on Brycen's commnad. The bwbachods screeched as they were cut down but not before something bolted forward.

SCREEE

"Banshee!" Trinity yelled,"Extremely fast! You have a chance with that dragon of yours, Brycen!"

"Irena seek mighty one. Boy mighty indeed." Thebanshee screeched as she swooped down. She s*** her claws on Brycen's shield creating a loud, ear-splitting screech befalling the angry group. Everyone covered their ear and staggered wildly and off-balanced.

Brycen leaped off his dragon and towards the banshee, swinging his weapons in a deadly arc."Die! You bloody @$$hole!"

The banshee cackled in delight and caught Brycen in seconds,"bye bye, puny boy. Boy will die for insulting Irena the Great!" She started to rise and fly away when Nicholas, brought his axe down on the Banshee's hands, severing them from her wrists. The banshee screamed in agony and watched Brycen drop."Him! I want him!" The bashee screeched and the bwbachods focused themselves on Nicholas and attacked as a giant brown pack.

"No!" Nick yelled as he was harshly dragged out of the farm while the rest were knocked unconscious.

"Brilliant, Irena...a prisoner..." A cold metallic voice hissed,"Torture him..."

"Yes,my lord," Irena the banshee cackle, with delight and dragged Nicholas away.

Moments later,screams were heard in the dungeons but they echoed off the walls and all was silent once a again.
