Sofia's Bed Time Story - Part Two - Chapter Six: "Keep On Keeping On"

*Having left the gym, Sofia, Tasha (her mother) and her Grandfather headed to the Valor Lakefront and as they got there, went out to Sofia's favourite restaurant, 'the Seven Stars Restaurant.' An over two hours drive just to get to what they described as the best food in Sinnoh. The Owners, knowing immidiately who they were, although being fully booked, instantly set up a table for the three of them.

As they ordered their food, grandfather spotted an old clock. A clock made of Silver and Gold trimmings, a clock that looked as if it existed in a time before this one, a time long ago. But this clock seemed to be working well for it's age.*

That clock is persistant i must say.

*over hearing this, Kylie, one of it's owners replied by saying:"Why yes, that clock has been around since my grandmother was just a girl. It's the inspiration of the Seven Stars Restaurant, to never give up you see." to which they smiled and continued to look at the clock*

Persistance... reminds me of Dusk.

-Who's Dusk Grandfather?

Oh but of course! i haven't yet told you his story. Tasha you remember his tale right?

-You haven't even told me the story of Dusk yet dad. Now might be a good time to start.

Ahh well alright. His tale began on a starry night. As far as we know at least.

One thing i can say about him is that, much like that clock, he was persistant. When he set his mind to something, failure was never an option and there was no stopping him or his pokemon. Although his childhood seemed quite busy, as his family had constantly been moving from region to region, he always enjoyed new scenery.

When he came of about just over 9 years of age, he decided to go on his own journey, see the world by his terms while his family saw it under theirs. Lego Lover was his name, don't ask how that came about. It was a fun, somewhat comforting name. I mean if you had to say that you were suddenly attacked by a man by the name of Lego Lover, you would weirdly be comfortable with it. I mean even his presence would liven up a room like fireworks to the night sky.

The first pokemon he had caught was the most energertic Larvitar i had ever seen. Whenever he would send it out for battles, relaxation or just for the sake of, it would get distracted by something as simple as a falling leaf and would just dissapear on it's own agenda. Not once did Dusk fail to find and retrieve his Larvitar.

Then came a day when, after being with the brotherhood for a few months, they were attacked by a gang of Pokemon Smugglers. Somehow a battle was avoided but what was shocking to the band was that several of their pokemon had been taken by the smugglers.

Angered and impatient they began chasing after the smugglers right to the edge of Viridian Forest. Having lost site of the smugglers, the brothers began making rash and impatient decisions, except for Dusk. He simply crouched to the floor, began smoothly brushing the soft forest ground with his hands and, with a quick bolt forward, began to run, shouting "They went this way! Hurry up!"

At that moment they learned that Dusk was an excellent tracker, using the smallest thing like a broken twig to determine where the smugglers would be and when. Having been 2 long days chasing, the team was fatigued and knew that the smugglers would need to rest too, so taking a little time off would do no harm. At that moment, as everyone set up camp, Dusk simply put on his running shoes and readied himself to leave again.

"Don't be so hasty my friend. You need some rest, we all do" said War, as he sat up against a tree. "I'll rest when I get them back. You guys catch up when you can, I'll leave a trail behind for you to follow," he replied as he dashed forward with momentum so fierce that even an Aggron wouldn't dare stand in his way.

Four days had now passed and although completely exhausted, he had caught up to the smuggler's van and began filling his bag with all the pokeballs that had been stolen. As he began heading back to the town he had passed a few minutes ago, an innocent bystander mistook the situation and yelled "THIEF!!" to which the gang of ruthless looking smugglers began running towad him, ready to attack.

His Scar, which sat on the palm of his hand, began to glow as if giving him the energy to keep going. A Scar that could be read as 'Dusk'.

He began to run toward the town and upon reaching a berry field that seperated him from the town, looking exhausted and about to fall over, he reached out and grabbed a pecha berry from the small tree infront of him, sat down and faced his persuers. To their confusion, they stopped and looked at each other, as if expecting the next guy to somehow tell them what was going on.

As they began to move closer to Dusk, he simply looked back at them, smiled and said "you're late" to which Soul and and Volt had jumped out from the berry field and stood between the smugglers. Behind them was Fury, who had managed to get Officer Jenny from the closest town and it's police force to aid him. Being outnumbered and out matched, the smugglers gave up, were arrested and the score had been settled.

The rest of the brothers arrived at the scene to find Dusk lying on the soft grass to which Shadow asked "What are doing?" He simply replied "I said i'd rest when i get them back. I got them back" to which he fell asleep waking up at the Pokecenter. Noticing his bag was now empty, apart from the pokemon that belonged to him, he quickly ran out to ask Nurse Joy what had happened.

It had appeared that the 7 others had been working non-stop for the last two days to try reunite all the stolen pokemon with their trainers once again. The first thing he noticed was that he had been asleep for two days straight. TWO DAYS!!!

After joining in on the efforts of his comrades, they were almost done. All but one pokemon had been successfully returned to their trainers respectively. All but this young Absol. As he continued to search, he found that this Absol's trainer had long since neglected the pokemon.

A decision was mad that day that Dusk would take in this Absol, becoming it's trainer, as he was the best suited for the job. After a few months with the now evolved Tyranitar and Absol, he had grown a liking and a great understanding to Dark types which in turn lead him and his two best pokemon to grow a somewhat dislike to Bug types, especially Beedrill.

He later became a Master of Dark types with persistance unmatched by any other. When it came to any requests the clan recieved that would lead to long periods of time and effort, Dusk had always been the man for the job. 'Til this day, he has a record of never failing... not once. He was a legend like that, to the point where a statue as well as 3 books were made in memory and to honor him. Even now he's out there somewhere making a difference.

He visits the old clan building often, although it's nothing but an old relic now. A memory of what once was. Although the clan lives on with severl other Out-Posts out there, the original one would seem to only be remembered by the elders of the clan.

But one thing is certain, *staring back at the clock* he's gonna 'Keep on keeping on' as he always said.

*As he brought the story to an end, he paused to notice Sofia and Tasha had now been smothered by a group of waitrons who had somehow squeezed in and sat down amoungst the two ladies. It appeared that not only had the restaurant been closed for more than an hour, not a single person had left as they'd all been intrigued by the story Grandfather had been telling.*

*One of the guests then stood up, a young man who looked like a succesful adventurer approached the table at which the three sat and said, "I've heard many people tell stories of Dusk in the many places I've visited, but never one like that. One that expressed my father so truthfully and made him sound like the man he really was."*

*Grandfather, surprised at this the replied:* You're father? You must be Seth, one of the Legendary Twins to have become champion of every region at least once.

*At hearing this, a young vibrant woman stood up from what now seemed to be an audience. As she too approached the table, she suprisingly asked: "You know our father?"*

You must be Sarah then. My dear, You're father and I have been friends for as long as i can remember.

*To which, after silently consulting with her brother, Sarah replied "Sir if you would, we would like to cover all your expenses for the food as well as staying the night in Hotel Grand Lake. It's the least we could do after meeting you, we insist."*

*Realising that they seemed as persistant as their predecessor, he agreed.*

You are far too kind young ones. and since youre here too, how about tomorrow morning you join us for breakfast. I have yet another story you may be interested to hear-

*To which he was interupted by the twins with sudden shouts of "DO YOU REALLY MEAN IT?", "WE'D BE HONORED SIR" and "HOW LUCKY CAN WE GET" as if this was an interview to be on the world's leading TV show, 'Dancing With Diancie'*

*The restaurant had still not cleared out as everyone seemed to be staring at Grandfather, as if awaiting another tale to be told. This had just become a little troublesome for the family of three who had merely come here for a simple bite to eat.*

Damn

Thatmust be why we always had our dinners at home xDD

And man I loved the part of "I'll rest when I get them"

Amazing Popo, I really hope you get to know Trakyan soon so we can continue with this story!!!

And I don't want to hear you refuting me, but this IS PURE GENIOUS AND AWESEOMNESS!!!!

"Grandfather, how did Dusk meet his legendary Sneasel?" Sofia asked.

"Now... that was a day I will never forget..."

It was a breezy day. Fury was off with the birds, and Bond was with him. War was training with Tide, teaching Tide's Empoleon Steel Wing.

Dusk was with Shadow; it was his Tyranitar and Absol against Sorin's Gengar and new Mismagius.

"Gengar! Focus Blast Absol! Mismagius! Magical Leaf on Tyranitar!" Shadow yelled.
"Tyranitar. Crunch. Absol, counter with a Sucker Punch." Dusk said calmly.

Absol got ready his Sucker Punch, but suddenly stopped.
"Absol, whats wrong?" Dusk asked his Pokémon.
Absol pointed in a direction.
"Tyranitar! Return!" Dusk called and ran after his Absol. Shadow shrugged, returned his Pokémon and went after Dusk.

They found Absol facing off a group of thugs. They had twenty or so Pokémon in a net, and were getting into a van.

"Absol, Mega Evolve!" Dusk called to his Pokémon.

Absol started to glow with a majestic light. His body shape started to change. The thugs were dumbfounded by what had happened in the past five seconds.

Absol looked very similar, but had majestic wings that looked more for show than anything but anyone could tell that horn was NOT to be messed with. On pain of death.

"These Pokémon are the native ones from around here" Shadow realized. "They must be taking them and selling them to their masters!"

"Grunts are easy. They only have level three Zubats, probably. Absol, Knock Off the net from their hands! Don't hurt the Pokémon."
Absol charged forwards and knocked the net out of the grunts hands. This caused a break in the netting and all the wild Swinubs and Snorunts.

"These were good Pokémon! We could have sold these for a lot!" said one of the grunts as he grabbed for his Pokéball. As quick as a flash Dusk saw a dark blur by the grunts pokéballs followed by the absence of said pokéballs. He noticed this for the other grunts too. "Go SWI- WAIT WHAT? WHERE ARE MY POKéBALLS?" he screamed. The other grunts noticed they didn't have theirs, either.

"Now the Pokémon are safe, I can take care of this now," Shadow said. "Mismagius, Psychic these thugs and lift them into the air. Translocate them into Officer Jenny's care. Make sure they have a bumpy ride!
"¬_¬" Mismagius said.

"Great job Absol, you deserve a good rest. Also, please give us back our Pokéballs, Sneasel. I know where you are, and which tree you are in."

";-;" Sneasel said, but returned the Pokéballs into their proper care.

"It's okay now, the smugglers are gone. You can go back to your cave now, with your Weavile clan."

"> Sad

" replied the Sneasel angrily.

"Oh? You want to go with me?" Dusk asked, surprised.

"> Very Happy

" the Sneasel nodded.

Dusk took out a pokéball. Sneasel instantly stole it and ran away.

"What the..?" Dusk asked.

"It's obvious he just wanted to steal the Pokéball," Shadow said. "Come on, let's go!"

"You go ahead. I want to wait for Sneasel." Dusk said.

"You think he's going to come back?" Shadow exclaimed.

"Yes. I saw that in Sneasel." Dusk replied calmly.

"If you're not back by tomorrow, I'll come looking for you okay?" Shadow said, then went back the way they came.

It was 4:00 am. Dusk was still waiting for Sneasel, but he knew he would come.

"I know you're here Sneasel." Dusk said, seemingly to no-one.

":O"

"I knew when you came. I know a lot about you, except one thing."

":?"

"Will you come with me?"

"So thats how Dusk met Sneasel..." Tasha said.

"And thats why Dusk has such a bond with his Sneasel."

Nah, Crunch was going to OHKO Mismagius, Drunkness Blast would have missed absol and hit TTar and OHKOed, Gengar would be on like no healthand Absol would rek u. :3

You do tales, I do stories. Yours is still amazing, and without yours mine would make no sense. Yours is beast mon!

mine are lores... they're like backround tales to fictional characters is all... not stories :I not much too them either
